Over the Edge is YSB's signature annual fundraiser and brings our community together in a unique way to make a positive difference for young people who are experiencing homelessness.
Over the Edge has become one of the most visible and well-attended events in St. Joseph County. Over the past seven years, $850,000+ has been raised for local youth through this event.
2025 Over the Edge Champion
Vickie Van Nevel
Pastor Vickie Van Nevel went over the edge – and above and beyond! She set out to raise $2,500 for the Youth Service Bureau and ended up bringing in more than $11,000, which was four times her goal!
For five years, Vickie has bravely rappelled down in our Over the Edge event to raise awareness and support for youth experiencing crisis or homelessness. Her courage, kindness, and faith shine through in everything she does, from leading her church in downtown South Bend to showing what it means to love and lift others in action.
Because of her incredible heart and effort, we are proud to crown Vickie as our 2025 Over the Edge Champion!
