YSB x TeenWorks
Get Paid. Build Skills. Explore Your Future.
The Youth Service Bureau (YSB) is partnering with TeenWorks to bring a paid summer job program to South Bend.
This 6-week program gives teens the chance to earn money, gain real work experience, and build skills that last beyond the summer. Participants will work in small teams on projects at Unity Gardens, YSB, and the Food Bank, while also learning how to write a resume, prepare for interviews, manage money, and communicate with confidence.
Students will also visit college campuses, meet local employers, and explore what comes next after high school.

Why This Partnership Matters
YSB supports youth who are facing challenges like housing instability, family conflict, or crisis. Through shelter, counseling, and support services, YSB helps young people find stability and move forward.
TeenWorks brings expertise in workforce development, helping teens gain real job experience and prepare for life after high school.
With the new YSB Center for Youth Success, South Bend now has a dedicated space for this kind of opportunity. YSB serves as the local headquarters for the program and will connect teens to both employment and the support they need to succeed.
